Description

Appleton® explosionproof, dust-ignitionproof EDS series factory sealed tumbler switches confine the arcing of enclosed switches, preventing ignition of ignitable atmospheres during connect and disconnect operation of lighting and light power loads. They are designed for use in classified areas where ignitable vapors, gases or highly combustible dusts are present such as chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries and other process industries.

▪ 20 A 4-way and all 30 A models utilize a switch enclosed in separate sealing chamber
▪ Smooth double face, accurately ground surfaces on sealing chamber flange mate with cover and body to provide positive flametight construction
▪ Sealing chamber has prewired factory sealed pigtail leads to switch
▪ Threaded stainless steel operating handle provides positive corrosion resistant operation
